How it works

Add your family, save a card, then every booking is a couple of taps.

Step 1

Find

Put in your date and times. Everyone you see is genuinely free for the whole slot, covers your postcode, and can be booked end to end - rates, reviews and experience all up front.

Step 2

Book

Send a request - one sitter for free, or shortlist a few and ask them together. You'll see the estimate before you send, and you can message before anyone commits. Acceptance is confirmation.

Step 3

Relax

Your sitter gets the full brief the moment they accept. During the sit you can watch the time and cost live, and afterwards one tap pays - we only charge you when the sit is done.

What it costs

The sitter's rate, plus a small fee. That's it.

Minimum booking

1-hour minimum. We bill shorter sits as 1 hour - after that, you pay by the minute.

When you're charged

Only after the sit. You confirm the times and one tap pays - or 24 hours after the sitter ends the sit we charge the exact amount, so nobody is kept waiting.

Shortlist fee

Asking one sitter is free. Shortlist up to 5 and ask them together for a flat £1.50 - charged with the rest after the sit.

You pay the fee on top of the sitter's rate - sitters keep every penny of theirs, and we never touch tips. Joining is free and there's no subscription. See all terms.

What checks do you do on sitters?

Every sitter completes an application with their experience, can add references, and is approved before their profile can appear in search - and a suspended sitter disappears from search immediately. That's a filter to keep the obviously wrong people out, not a guarantee. We do not carry out DBS or other criminal-record checks, and we won't tell you a sitter is safe - we can't know that. Meet a sitter and make your own judgement before you book them for the first time.
What if plans change?

Cancel from the app any time before the sit starts, free of charge - and the same applies to sitters. Only a last-minute cancellation shows on the canceller's record, and drops off again after a few months. Cancel late on a sitter and we'll invite you to send them an optional goodwill compensation payment. See the cancellation policy for the details.
Where does Sit&Co operate?

We open to families one town at a time, on purpose: a marketplace with three sitters in it can't actually find you one, so we build up local babysitters before we invite families. Put your postcode in on the home page to see whether we've reached you - and if we haven't, we'll email you when we do.
